Dog Training Options in the Twin Cities
Do you have a new puppy who could benefit from learning basic obedience and manners? Maybe your dog could use some help learning to walk on a leash, or perhaps you'd like to break their jumping habit. Regardless of which training issues you're looking to tackle with your pet, this is the prime time to get started. January is National Train Your Dog Month. If you're looking at Minneapolis homes for sale or St. Paul homes for sale, there are plenty of places nearby where you can take your dog for training.

K9SF is a local dog training company founded by former police force members. They specialize in one-on-one training to meet every customers' unique needs. They're happy to work with larger breeds like German shepherds and Dobermans. They also offer basic and advanced obedience classes.

Twin Cities Obedience Training Club offers dog training in a group class format. They have basic puppy classes, obedience classes, and agility classes. Sometimes, they offer more specialized classes for sporting dogs, such as flyball and disc classes.

Erin Go Dog is a training business serving clients throughout Minneapolis and the surrounding area. The owner, Erin, is a dog behavioral specialist and psychologist, which gives her the skills to work well with aggressive dogs, anxious dogs, and other problematic pooches.

The Canine Coach has several locations throughout the Twin Cities area, including in St. Paul. Their facility is nicely equipped with rubber agility mats and other amenities.
The Canine Coach offers basic obedience classes for puppies. They meet over several weeks and are a great way to teach puppies basic skills while gaining socialization experience. They also offer more specialized courses on individual topics such as leash aggression, agility, and reactivity. Giffy Dog is owned by a dog trainer who earned certification from the Karen Pryor Academy. She also has experience as a teacher, which has made her very proficient in communicating with dog owners.
All of Giffy Dog's training classes are small-group classes. They have a Bonding and Confidence-Building class, along with a Foundations class and an Advanced Clicker Training class. There's a Shy Dog Social Hour that's perfect for dogs who need more practice being around others, along with an Out and About Class that takes participants on a walk around the neighborhood.
